Here's a character I'm developing for a book-project.
She's an old bitter hag of a lady and she hates everyone. But somewhere deep inside... You know the rest hehe...
Software used : Lightwave, ZB2 and PS
Dr. Ira Kane

I swear she reminds me of one of my professors in College. All the way down to the hair.

Perfect. what plugin you use for hair and fur?

Thanks alot for the replies folks :)
Actually, there are both photographic elements and 3D-elements in this image. Both the hair and the jacket are actually heavily PS-modified photos. It's only the face(w texture) that is 3D.
It was important for me that the intergration between 3D and photo was as seamless as possible and hopefully I have achieved it fairly successfully !???

Very cool! You have captured the expression perfectly! As far as modeling, I have 1 comment (being anal here): the wrinkle line coming from her nose down, is a bit to sharp. I think you may still preserve the "long face" attitude, even when softening that a bit.
And as for the blue eye shadow - it's perfect! She reminds me of the character in Susnset Blvrd....Awsome work!

Thanks again for the comment.
Yeah... I see what you mean by that line smogchild. I'll see if I can have it fixed.
Thought I'd post one of the other characters for the book in the meantime...
Feel free to comment!

and here's a slightly different version. I'm not quite sure which one I like the best, but people seem to prefer the top one..

Wow! I like her very much. Only a little too few wrinkles around the eyes... or maybe because of the plastic surgery? ;)
06 June 2004, 09:48 AM
Well... a little too... puppy-like... and, IMHO, her hairdo does not fit to the style of the lady.
