I like the environment. Its dark and gloomy kind of like Doom. The character feels out place. it appears the environment is going for photorealistic while the character is cartoonish.
If you are going for photo-real, try playing with the lighting. If you are going for a cartoonish feel, try for less detail on the walls.

ah, yes - hadn't thought of that...definitely a good idea. I think I'll add some details to the girl though, to get around the cartoon-feel. With my crappy modeling, I can't afford to move the lights too much (cough). Thought about removing her completely, but it doesn't quite work without a character in the scene, imho.
