A black hole generating a gamma ray burst. Capable of irradiating and killing all the life in an entire galaxy, if it gets in the way. Makes the death star look like a pop gun. But hey look, Pretty colors.....

I'm still trying to get used to painting in Photoshop.I am going to try to recolour it later. I really like what you did Stephan.s. Amazing work. If you or anyone else have any tips or tricks for painting like this (more of the look i would like to aim for) please let me know. Thanks!

Nice work Dargon, Pasto, Goro. Very fun ideas. Great work all!

>Phew. Fixed the clouds. They were upside down. I'm so special sometimes.:applause:

06 June 2004, 04:04 AM
There are some excellent work around here - I still have a lot to learn...

Dargon: Great use of backlight. That blue tint adds a lot to the figure.

stephan.s : Beautiful work. Love the way you master the colors . It seems so simple when itīs well done!

animation angel: very funny and well done! Has a "Far Side" feel to it.

Great work everyone - this Speed Painting thing is really cool!

06 June 2004, 01:06 PM
Clanger I love your little "signiture" at the bottom!

06 June 2004, 01:14 PM
just a question how do you post your pics. i havenīt posted any pics for a while but there was an option to upload pics to the cgtalk site, now itīs gone. Do one have to have an outbound website to link the pictures too now. If so, i donīt have one. that would be pretty weak.

06 June 2004, 01:23 PM
MrWyatt - I am not sure this would work but you could try this link to create a page for uploading your images

hope it works

06 June 2004, 01:24 PM
I'm pretty sure that you can upload an image under 200k. But larger than that, you have to have a host for your image that you can link to.

And a lot of sites like Angelfire do not allow remote linking to their files.... (Not sure about Angelfire specifically).

06 June 2004, 01:33 PM
I didn't have ANY time to work on this one at all. I wish I could have done a lot more with it. Oh well. 5 minute sketch. 2 minutes coloring. Not a very good disguise if you ask me.

I know it was like this before but now the option to upload files has gone only the option to remote link a pic is still there. I would show you a screenshot of what options i have but as i cannot upload it itīs pretty useless.

does anyone know of a place that allows remote linking?

06 June 2004, 01:48 PM
there's a site that allowed you to store your pic.
Photobucket (
you can link your image from there, the registration is free :).

anyway, there's some great pic around!!
here's mine, Photoshop about 1 hours 15 minutes.
a monster in disguise gets hungry :D.

06 June 2004, 02:08 PM
OK. Here is my lousy little contribution. I have not drawn a while and just realized you really loose a lot of routine when you donīt draw every day. from now on i shall draw more often.

drawn with blue pencil on paper and coloured in PS.

hope you like it

06 June 2004, 02:44 PM
Yeah, I have really lost my touch too. its been about 2 years since I sat down to seriously work on my drawing skills. This daily sketch thing is gonna get me back in shape!

Great work guys. Stephen S. is definatly the winner of this one. simply amazing!

The upload thing isnt available here for some reason. probibly to let their servers rest a bit. You will need to link from your persnal site.
