Eight XL8.5 scenefiles: 3D-MINERALS

Hi everybody.
I would like to share the following files with you:

The eight downloads contains both the minerals with the shaders, and the scenes with lights and floors.
The individual minerals consist in each case of only one object.
Each object is layered with several shaders.
The crystals grew with displacement.
The contents of the files are intended for private learning - not for commercial use.
What you see is what you get!

Have fun.

Click the pic. (

I will send this into the Cinema 4D Resources Forum, too.

I saw these last week, they're quite amazing.
It's shed some light on just how good the material editor can be if you put your mind to it.

Thanks for sharing.

I've tried to recreate what you've acomplished here with little success, any chance of a small tutorial on your theory or where you came up with the idea?

very impressive materials..thanks! Will be interested to play around with them. Gotta love the C4d material system, and imagine these type of materials with MPD

That would be totally understandable. If you're gonna make money using his materials, it's fair to somehow give something back, don't you think ?

Btw, awesome materials !!!

You have reason.

You do not think that change a simple settaggio I can say that is mine?

However I am all right with you, it seems myself a little eccentric like request, also and I THANK a lot of bjodo.

Don't know whether you can say it's yours if you just change a few settings. Just email him and see what deal you can get to use his materials commercially.

P.S. your english is fine, no need to apologize

A BIG THANK to you for the congratulations.

The idea for these minerals I got from the consideration how I could add more details to the scene of a still life -> with some minerals.

not for commercial use?

I think back of the time, when I began to work with C4D and - if I had had such a big luck to get these materials from an unknown person for free, I would have been ashamed to think about commercial use to my favour!

Please respect the will of the owner and be happy to have the chance to learn from this.

Amazing project and material

It's really nice to see the way you use the displacement/alpha channel to model the surface and bring the different shader togheter.

If I want to use it for a commercial project what I've to do? Right now I don't have any project that ask me such kind of shaders, but..........who knows, maybe in the future.

Very Cool! thank you.

Hello everybody and thank you for your messages.

To those of you who are interested in commercial usage of these minerals / shaders, I can say that I am working on it.
Unfortunately, at this moment I am not able to give you some more details.

Best regards,
