Looks great for a first car model.
You should put a background...Cus I see building reflections on the car, yet I see no buildings o_O

Try putting it in an environment and testing different lightings. This one gives your model no justice. I also think the grain is too high.

Thanks for all the crits, people. I'd just like to say, being my first model, it was
more like a practice exercise than a polished work. I'm not really planning on
refining/fixing this model any further. I'd rather start fresh on a new model :)
Still thinking what car to do...

The tutorial I learned from:

so you use hypernurbs and and points, I am learning the same tutorial, but I have a question, actually to all who make cars, there is a problem where two objects are close, as you see where the bumber meets the side... it does not fit.... how do fix it? I have hear something about extrude or something like that, but I would like to know more, because that disturbs me....

thanks for your help

looks great, not sure if it's the angle but the hood looks like it doesn't line up perfectly.

The result is very good
I like the car's tire

as far as i know there are 3 tutorials on the web which describe how to model a car in c4D. two were already mentioned.

the third:

the tutorial of the audi s6 is the most complete one.

though ... i would like to now something more about modelling the interior of a car.

b.t.w. ... did you had blueprints of the car to start with?

i've searched all the web to find blueprints of a z8, z4 and mini.

the one of the mini i've already found
