View Full Version : software to "splice" together animation

I'm looking for software to, umm, "splice" together an animation I'm working on.

I use Cinema and what I'm working is a shot of a space ship flying past the camera toward a planet, then the shot goes to the ship flying toward a landing platform and landing.

I know I could prolly do the whole thing in one-shot in Cinema.. but I don't wanna leave my computer running for daze rendering it, so hence the request to splice things together.

oh, I don't want one that cost more than Cinema .. this is just for my own doing .. a hobby, so I don't want to spend $$$ on it.

thanks and regards,

Adobe Premiere has a 30-day trial version [I don't think it is save disabled]... or, maybe you could download Microsoft Movie [I think it is a free download]. I believe it should be capable of joining two clips together.

Just a couple ideas from the cheap seats.

How about

I was starting to write down some names, was looking for the spelling on a particular application... and ran into the above link. It lists everything I was going to say, plus a lot more.

There's a program called VirtualDub where you can go to your menu->file->append avi segment...

This enables you to join two avi movies together.
