hi all ..i finished scene for my cyborg...so enjoy..
modeled in max6,Vray,photoshop7 and Zbrush2 for details(displace maps)..
NO HDRi maps
inspiration-sculpture founded on web(lost creators name:(-if somebody knows who´s is this work, please send me it.)sculpture image here (http://www.tes.euweb.cz/ref.jpg)
the 2 last renders are few weeks old...
only model render
only shaded model

But his skin-parts give me the feel of a waxy/plastic actionfigur... Is that intended?

Modelling is great. The head is a bit of an homage to Anakin/Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi, isn't it?
06 June 2004, 11:45 AM
looks very good and my only crit is that the whole model looks a bit too dry, skin needs some spec
06 June 2004, 12:20 PM
if i give a bit more spec ,some people will tell ,that it´s like plastic...BTW its in really cold environment-so the skin in env is dry..
06 June 2004, 01:19 PM
hehe true, people will always complain :P
but how about some spec where the blood and wounds are and some in his eyes
just a tiny tiny bit :)

its final..i dont like to work on it more...
06 June 2004, 02:45 PM

06 June 2004, 01:12 PM
no more posts?:((

could you post a wire of the shaded model? would be nice with the wire on top of the render, if its not too much of a trouble :)
i think it looks so real, like its modeled IRL (clay or something). no accusations made so no offense, but i just want to be sure :)

the model looks good overall but the right arm muscle, his left looks to square, it looks like a cube /w a few lines drilled into it, plus the right hand could use some work, when i hold somthing in my hand the tips of my fingers come to my lower palm, and the groth off the right side of the back shoudl be toned down, i know its from the back muscle but it sticks out to much. i know your inspiration was from a scuplture, but just because somones else made it doesnt mean their anatomy was correct. anyways keep it up i like the renders. -M

there's indeed something wrong with the back muscle, it sticks out and than goes back in, something wrong there, maybe a wrong deformation because of his pose??
A very muscular model like this one should be as accurate as possible to the real human muscular system
The skin: looks like he's been in a barrel of bleach mixed with toxic waste which makes his skin peal off (if that's what you wanted it to look like you did a good job, otherwise it looks too much like clay)
Nice work overall

Only one question.
What meens HDRI? :hmm:
It´s a fantastic character. This night i will not sleep

One of the other guys had mentioned that it reminded him of Anikin Skywalker after he fights Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars episode 3. I am curious, is that what this image is? Because I was thinking the same thing. Great job by the way, it looks really good.
Show us more on your new piece when it's done.:)

THEUNFORGIVEN-skin shader is my biggest problem:( i know about this problem in those 2last renders(only model without env)

HI tes, its superb... can u post some detail wire of his face pls. ;)
06 June 2004, 06:11 PM
such a fine rendering of the shaded model. looks real. keep it up.
06 June 2004, 10:39 PM
Those last couple renders look like they could be photos of a maquette or sculpey model.
Nice work man.
06 June 2004, 10:31 AM
Looks really good. I like the look of your renders. the deep cuts in the geometry that define the various muscles helps get the cool sculpted feel.
06 June 2004, 05:46 AM
 tnx much!! :)
