View Full Version : Character/Scene: Phantom of the Opera

Here is something I made over the weekend for a weekend 3D challenge. This was inspired by Leroux's novel, Phantom of the Opera, and features the characters Christine Daae and the Phantom...

Design time was approximately 18 hours (spread over Saturday and Sunday). Spent quite some time working on the mood of the piece. Render time was approximately 25 minutes, mainly due to use of ambient occlusion.
This is what is called in the weekend challenge a "pure entry," which is to say no post-processing in an external application was involved. The standard glow plugin (http://www-users.cs.umn.edu/~mein/blender/plugins/) was used to enhance the candlelight.
This was created and rendered in Blender 2.33a (http://www.blender3d.org) using the native renderer.
Well, I hope you like it :)
Thanks for checking out my work!

It looks good are you going for realism? If so the anatomy needs a little more work and the lighting. But over all very cool I like where you going it feels like jKIngs Quest to me.

Thank you very much for commenting on my work, Alex.
I wasn't going for realism in this one, just something interesting and moody :)
