I can't believe that I keep coming across great entries that I've not seen before....

I really love the textures in your earlier sketches - they have a really great quality to them...

I wasn't sure at first how things were going to develop when you lost some of the texture and blues, but the composition is really coming together.

the background makes such a difference and really adds depth and gives a more underwater feel.

The onlt thing I could suggest is maybe adding slight beams or glows (radiating out) from the lights on the creature - subtle but would add to the submerged feel. Also bubbles and stuff in the foreground - though I expect you were planning to do this later once all the other elements are sorted.

Great stuff...keep ithe WIP's coming and good luck:thumbsup:

06 June 2004, 10:38 AM

WOW!!! I am just blown away by your work. I love everything, the mood, colours, design, composition, A +++!

Keep up the awsome work, I can't wait to see the final.

06 June 2004, 05:23 PM
Background looking cool  gives good feeling of depth

Im also fascinated by the way youre making them textures over those surfaces. Id like to hear something about it.

Also there has been major water theme all over the contest!

Your works makes me think of submarines.. So mechanical yet exact wings and stuff like that. :wavey:

06 June 2004, 05:47 PM
Excellent work.

Keep this up!

my entry (

06 June 2004, 07:55 AM
thanks for the comments....all of you

Falcor....didn't know there are mant themes as you say because didn't have time to look thrue all of threeds...I've had 3 themes to choose from, but I've choose these one because I saw allready much humanoids themes.....It is important not to copy the general idea I think overall....
thanks again and cheers

ohhh..forgot....about those textures you say....I use much selections with Photoshop...selections from metal textures....selecting colors or greys so I can make dirt or whatever I need...shiny skin,blood,cuts...and also use very much paths.......

the best

06 June 2004, 10:42 AM (

the final image people...didn't have much time to work at this but hope you like it....have fun

06 June 2004, 11:21 AM
It really nice , I like this !

06 June 2004, 11:32 AM
Congrats !

Your render is amazing.....background (with details and lights going in the fog.......very well done:thumbsup: ), the surface with the sky that we see-suppose...........the textures, what can i say.......shapes......everything is clear

may i suggest one thing : global lighting, maybe you could do some mood more "dark-blue" for the BG.? Just a suggest...:)

good luck

06 June 2004, 11:51 AM
really good works! the half technical half mysteriuos atmosphere like from underwater odyssey! really nice colour scale the shades between blue and gray look fantastic! keep up!

06 June 2004, 01:54 PM

Great artwork my man! Details are piling up beautifully, the background, aldo unfinished I'm sure of it, looks already great and I don't even want to mention those awsome textures everybody seems to love!

06 June 2004, 04:39 PM
multzam shi eu...multa bafta la concurs

07 July 2004, 11:27 AM
my god... how many good final images I saw...don't know why but my opinion is that I saw more quality in 2d section than 3d...probably because in the 3d section everyone tried to make something awesome and in the end they stuck on too many details...and didn't have time to texture and render as good as they the begining I was going to enter in the 3d section but I realise don't have time to the future I wanna make this model in 3d...I will use this work like an advanced concept art...

till than I wish you all good luck in the contest because it is such little time till the votes ends.....didn't know what to vote first...very good contest
