This is my first stage pencil - A rhino dad with his little kids out for a day on the beach. Dad's dozing in the sun while the kids play on and around him. At this stage, I've no idea how I'll do the artwork as I've worked in various different styles, but developing the characters is the main thing at this time.

Here's a further development of the main character. I was fairly happy with the original pose, so I've just tweaked the characterisation and proportions. The texturing and detail will come at the artwork stage, where I can experiment with colour, texture, form, and general treatment. Next I'll work on the kiddies. Not sure if they should all be the same, or noticeably different, which could be more fun. Til later.
