I wanted to join this party earlier, but was really busy...
Now I have some spare time and decided to try.
Itīs a bit late but...
Here is the concept:
In a near future, official governments and terrorismīs milicias will be using the same weppons, technique and strategy.
All kins of life forms will be used on war. Even a small mosquito will be machanically adapted to spread a huge number of developed viruses and bacterias.
Nobody is safe anymore...

And with some greys...

I live in a particulary musquito infested place, in the summer you have a cloud of them around all the time!!!
I have thought about that same idea you are proposing. Think itīs cool.
A secret agency could use them to take dna samples and put poison or virus as you say.
The filal paint could have a microscope picture feel to it...
keep up

Check out this picture: http://www.loe.org/series/climate_change2003/
Scroll down itīs there.
As you see the mosquito has a straight pipe/needle
that it pierces skin with, it has an outer "holster" that slides back.
My point is that your mosquito misses that straight "needle". Maybe not that important but anyway....
The design of the backend is good, wuoldnīt wanna be the one too build those :D

Adding some colors...

Hi ailu , thanks for the tips man!
I have some different references of different mosquitos too, their needles change a lot from one kind to another... I found long straight ones, curved short ones...
Anyway thanks a lot! Iīll keep this in mind.
By the way I live in a mosquito infested place as well.:D
About the DNA stuff... Great idea!:applause: I just thouth about the viruses stuff.

I prefer it 100000 times black and white , the colours destroyed the details man
04 April 2004, 09:45 PM
hhuh .. i'm thinking that latest one's just kind of a color overlay , RIGHT?
Ain't no creature in the universe that makes a b/w like that
and goes colorbur from it , no way

BartokDesign, Squibbit is right, the colored one is just an color overlay... Of course I woldnīt throw away all the details.
Anyway I donīt think Iīm going to finish this one, I decided to take part at the Machineflesh 3D challenge, so this 2d one will have to wait for a while.
Thanks again everybody.
