Great! It looks like a muppet with those poppin-out eyes! I love the muppets!

thanx buddy, but don't forget it is a hungry, thirsty and angry muppet seeking for the show!!

07 July 2002, 05:48 PM
Show us the rest!

07 July 2002, 11:05 AM
Ok Jeroentje! but if you don't mind, first a little suspens... the rider of the ferocious muppet!

07 July 2002, 04:01 AM
Eww ;) in a good way - is it all going to be green like that?

Interesting start.

is he plant based ?
it looks pretty cool lets see more

07 July 2002, 09:54 AM
Hi , thanks for the replies. It is not plant based, but he is not human and his biology can be based on chlorophyll.
I'll post the complete image when it will be done.

Looks great. I don't like suspence. Your style reminds me of jorentje's. This style seems quite european. Is that fair to say? Let's see the rest.

07 July 2002, 07:46 AM
Yes! I think there is an european style, but it is not so easy to define!
Sorry for the suspens, but it has to be done before !:)

Hi everybody! This is the complete image of my beast of burden. Unfortunately, the compression has lost a lot of details. That's life!

07 July 2002, 04:44 PM
LOL haha, very very good!

Try to do something with the background, you can keep it simple but this is maybe a bit too hard...

07 July 2002, 05:20 PM
Thanks, Jeroentje!
It was a lot of work and after all, when you azre living on the "côte d'azur"you have to burn also under the original sun , not only the electronical one!
I was following strictly the terms of the challenge; just the character on the muppet of burden.
Of course, I'll integrate it in a background sooner or later!
Bye, bye!

You're quite a fast painter, this is looking great. I agree that the challenge rules said "just a character" but go ahead and do a little indication. It's an injustice to your character not to have a little something.

Nice work on your website. Glad to see you have some paintings under your belt too.

My suggestion on this piece is too "not" isolate your color. The green is a little too the same everywhere. Meaning, pick up some other colors and move them through the creature, put some of the blue in the skintone of his body. (there's blue on the saddle) Move some of that magenta around the piece so it's not so lonley. I see you have done this on your oil paintings.

If you were about to do this anyhow, I apologize for speaking too soon. Cheers

Thanks for your attention and your interest, Sleepless. Your remarks are relevant and I 'll do something soon!

This just made me laugh for about five minutes straight. That's a good thing, BTW. He's great, I love the disproportionate head and the intense stare.
Fantastic, very charming work.

Great work, it's got a good feeling to it. I like the background addition, helps place him and move that color around. Good job.
