I used a reference to get the main structure down. The reference drawing I used was insanely detailed and I had to make things how I wanted or I was going to go insane. I lost track of how long this took but I am guessing it took around 8 hours.
I first drew sketches (on the right) to get the look and lighting of the scene. Then I drew it on brown paper with black and white charcoal. After scanning it into photoshop I adjusted the contrast and added nicer looking light rays. Thats it. It's not my best artwork but its not my worst.
Paper size: brown 18 x 24
Tools used: charcoal, white charcoal, blenders.
Ok. Thanks.
