04-24-2004, 02:00 AM
THIS IS FREAKIN CRAZY! AND I LOVE IT! so much goin on here...super surreal! really fun to look at! is this all just photomanipulation? or did you paint anything here? very curious!

..real imaginative!!! :applause:

04-24-2004, 09:39 AM
This is one of the few things I see here on cgtalk that make me think "wow, I have never ever seen anything like this before."

I don't know how much percent manipulation, and how much percent photograph you used and I don't really care. It turned out a great illustration.

People should see this, so I'm putting it on the front page.

Amazing! It reminds me of those paintings of the neo-classicism during the Renaissance. Its grandiose look gives it a creepy mood. I just love it. Only crit, the characters are a bit lost on the ensemble. Might be on purpose though, it's just my point of view.
Keep up the good work, mate.
See you.

04-24-2004, 10:17 AM
Very well done!

I am also glad about seen a photography thread in this forum!

04-24-2004, 10:37 AM
ahh, great. I'm intrested in hearing about your resources and how you completed this, it's very cool. I really like how you've made it looks believeable in a really strange way.

04-24-2004, 11:28 AM
This is weird.
Please tell us about the your concept!
What does mean those “mushrooms” flying? The paper on the wall? The almost unperceptive human beings around? The child (like a doll?) so lost and so far, but yet so happy?

tell us…

04-24-2004, 11:33 AM

That pic has so much power and soul ... I need to cry

just ................. great

I kinda have a problem getting hold of the large image, I´m probably to stupid :D

04-24-2004, 11:38 AM

i really love the contrast between the whole image and the separate details, the image lives up to the title!

my deepest compliments!

Vaikuttava kuva.

04-24-2004, 03:34 PM
I like it alot and ur work brilliant:thumbsup::thumbsup:

04-24-2004, 03:39 PM

this is awesome...where can i download this bigger version?

Its very nice, but the grain on the different parts of the collage is different. You can notice the different parts. Could be better integrated.

Something different, I love it :)

04-24-2004, 06:17 PM
Wow. Really cool. I love the feel of the piece. Thanks for breaking it up to show the detail. I missed some in the first big photo. Keep up the great work and congrats on front page!

04-24-2004, 06:21 PM
I like this, it reminds me of David Lynch's "Eraserhead" specifically the mutton chop cheeked woman in the radiator singing "in heaven everything is fine".

I think a blue overlay would work better in terms of the 'creepy' factor. Great stuff

04-24-2004, 10:18 PM
bizzare & nice

Where is that bigger version ?
plz post a link

04-24-2004, 10:47 PM

I love photo manipulation.

04-25-2004, 04:58 AM
This is just beautiful.....

Yes, at a glance it seems like a creepy image, but the closer I looked at it the more comfortable I felt----the expression on the child is what got me the most, she seems so happy - like shes lost in some strange but good dream...

absolutley amazing work.

04-25-2004, 05:33 AM
that girl is scary!

04-25-2004, 06:38 AM
Very unique, I'd love this as a wall-sized poster.

It's all somewhat abstract, and the small details, like the jelly fish, give it so much life.

04-25-2004, 06:54 AM
Fascinating work!

04-25-2004, 08:06 AM
Very intresting and powerful image. I love the subtle details. Hyvä juttu!

04-25-2004, 10:56 AM
does anyone have the ed2k link ? i tried searching for the filename but didnt get any results.

04-25-2004, 11:18 AM
Its something like out of a dream. This is one of those pieces of art that should be hanging in an artgallery. Its just one of those pieces where you could just stare at it all day, because it just has you sucked right into it, it encapsulates you.

At first I thought the girl was scared...but then when I saw the close-up of her, she looks happy. Is that right? Bizzare.

Its very wierd, I like wierd, I love this piece. But just one thing, is there another person in the picture? I think there is, but its hard to define.

Cheers! K

Thanks for all comments!

My computer has been shut down for the weekend, couse I have been linstening and dancing some good dup/reggae sound systems all over Helsinki city. I will get home in about 6 hours(maybe), depending how cold it will be in the park. So I turn on my computer, and you will be able to DL larger version.

I will but also the orginal photos here, so you see what is real and what isn't ;)

I hope my english is understandable.
