first thoughts of machine flesh left me stumbling in the dark looking for a reason. so after masticating beef with circuit boards for About 2 weeks I decided to find a classical theme and interpret that. Hmmm. Went and referenced Sergeant murals at MFAboston then came up with pallas and centaur. He’s held together though a circuitry that is keltic in patterning, with large connections from the human head to the horse spine. More soon]

a more resolved composition, it seem to me that Pallas represents that purity and centaur being a chid of XION well we know his deal right?]

o.k. just minor tweaks but nows when i should post some pictures of a nautilus or something, drew a fairly consistent shape from this image and it was a conch shell on its axis so im pushing that in the line work

here are the lines
04 April 2004, 02:10 AM
o.k. i got it right that time

hey this is a cool concept. your lineart is reall cool.
Only one thing I noticed was the womens body. Her hips start a bit high. Maybe have the line start slightly closer to the top of the leg.
Otherwise I really dig it.

cuppacam Im always on the lookout for wonky lines so thanks. yknow how things get so personal and you start overlooking stuff well good lookin out! i'll flip horizontally in PS and see if you are right ...i always find that mirroring my image gives me that outside vantage and helps me pick up my errors in drafting and composition.
Infuscare lets see if i can carry this one to the image i see in my head a blending of rubenist and carravagest painting styles, i'll have to post the connector pre-viz for you ;hint right out of the book of kells

working on the coloring of the image

more colors, feel like going back to the drawing stage and further developing the image ....hmmmm
05 May 2004, 11:34 PM
the next step in the development. I feel satisfied with machine flesh element now.

:applause: This is getting better and better!!!

Final Image..i think.
I really enjoy the caravagiest lighting and had a lot of fun with burn and dodge layers. I envision these two, one as pure flesh Pallus
the other the transformation or axis centaur
do they represent our begining down the path of integration with our invention. I have heard the integrated circut resembles our own neural pathways, what more will our collective subconscious unveil to us as a race???
