View Full Version : deeppaint/lightwave?

when i import my lw7 nurbed/subdivision character into deeppaint it appears unnurbed/unsubdivision only smothed, and i recon this is going to mess up the models surface when i then nurb it again after painting my surface?. if this make any sence please help :)

The working method is well documented but I'll oblige anyway.

You have to create your UV mapping in Lightwave and then freeze your sub/d model and save it as another file to load into DeepPaint.

This frozen object will just be for painting on. Once you've painted your textures you should be able to load up LW and load your unfrozen original with the UV mapping and load the textures that DeepPaint created.
