something about AI-conflicts in the Neo-midevil future.

An other idea, but maybe a bit to ordinary.
PS: that's a flamethrower on his face ;)

Yeah I like the first too!

I think they're EXTRAordinary Karel! Nice stuff!
True, I have seem something like that before, but your choice of mechanical appendages, and where you chose to place them is really unique.
Nice pencil renderings too. I can't sketch like that. When I skecth I don't think of values, just lines and shapes...
Nice work Karel, let me know when you got more...

I've seen your drawings on your homepage, and I have to say, I,m honoured to receive such coments form a professional like you.
I study animation in Brussels, and all my teachers would go crazy if they had a student with the style and skills like yours.

Great sketches!!! I like the way you draw. Very clear pencil sketches. Very skillful.
I will watch your thread very closely and I´m sure you will do great work.

Karel, like always...love your work. Altough I think these drawings aren't the best you've made so far (because, you could earn a bit more points on originality), they're still great!!! especially like the one with the deassembled composition, I guess it was something like that you were looking for...hope to see more from you. Good bye and see you on school :)
(by the way: how will you make your final piece?)

These concepts somehow echo the work of the comic artist moebius for me, so i'd go for some kind of surreal apocalyptical kind of world :wavey:
Your style/technique are very good, but the concepts might be lacking a bit of depth atm, they look cool but i can't really see what they're used for :surprised

*thx Locusta, Jawine, and good luck to you too.
*Jawine, the first sketch is a anthropomorphic communicationmechanism of a AI-centre that has dismissed its human superiors because its didn't like some limitations.
A semi-external observationprogram had self-generated expantionsystem with some wrong connections. After the public opinion going "shit in the pants", they wanted to reorganize the AI-centre (centralization of all national, judicial and market- systems for 'ultimate' protection against the informationwars), but the programmers couldn't see trough the created complexity anymore, so its changed its priorities and managed to go solo.
Sorry about the crapy English and maybe sorry bout the crapy concept, but I'll tell you more later.
*FOANE is the man! Good-looking, lots a muscle, big hairy chest. I love the man, I mean I love him as a pal:beer: , don't want anything dirty with him, you know.
Anyway, keep looking at my work the critical way, I love that too.

dont look at the background, I'm going to do that different, more like the next sketch...
04-14-2004, 06:51 PM
It must look like a sort of religious factory-complex (especialy after its independence)
04-15-2004, 10:32 PM
Koarele, I'm really wondering what your result will be, your background sketches are a bit hard to understand, but I'll trust your "common" sense on that.....
by the way: if you're wondering where my sketches are, you'll have te wait a bit longer on them cause right now I'm busy trying to learn the damn muscle-skinning things in max 6............actually I'm still searching for a good idea for this compitition!(I was thinking of making some robo-soldiers/medics/pilots/and so on)
greets (btw: "koarele, ge zit nen dronkaard")

Your first sketches kick. I like the detail and style. I'm looking forward to seeing this when it gets done.

Thx neble, but I'm not sure I'm going to use this concept, because the final picture would be very complex and lots a work and I don't think I can combine that with my schoolwork.
