View Full Version : Hello and low-poly cropduster airplane render :)

01 January 2002, 04:46 AM
Hello everybody! A colleague of mine attended me to this forum, so I decided to join :) I hope you don't mind ;)

Just not to make this an entirely useless post ;), I'll post here a render of a low-poly plane model I made a couple of months ago:

The plane is 888 polys with 256x256 texture.

The render is made with the standard Max scanline renderer. The GI-ish effect is achieved with a bunch of lights set up in a dome... (how else? :p)

If you wanna play around with this cute little cropduster plane, I have uploaded a Shockwave 3D model (only 90 kb!!!) on my website, here:
Enjoy! :)

Looks very nice for a low poly model,
any plans to make it playable in a flightsim?

Cheers for the replies, guys! :)

Make it flyable for a flightsim... hmm, could do... but it is already being used in a game that will be released in a year or so.

I might make a little Shockwave 3D game for it myself, though, for on my website. Maybe something silly like "Spray the bug" :p
Well... if I magically find some spare time that is! :)
