You have a really interesting rendering style. The pic is cool to look at, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what's going on. Maybe try to add a bit more depth by varying the values a bit?-just a suggestion. Since it's still black and white, the readability issues may be resolved when you start coloring.
It's looking really cool, none the less!

That second one is really ql one... And I also have a hard time finding whats what on the pic. Clean ur lines a little bit, give more depth to the creature, like someone said before and do what u do best, free ur imagination :) Maybe more logical parts wouldn be bad, coz right now its a "mass" even if it looks ql.

I won't say the same for your comments hehe. Well, it may be only my opinion, but it's be nice if you commented a bit more your own pics. It can be interesting to see a bit of your thoughts along with your great pics ;)

04 April 2004, 12:48 PM
I must say yours is one of the best threads I've seen in the challenge. The concepts remind me Giger sketches, but near to abstraction, and the inking style, with those multiples lines, is great. I love the first concepts a lot. Last sketches, unfortunately, loose some of the originality and freshness. If I were you, I would develope the first sketches, for sure! But you are you, and I have no doubt you're going in a new interesting way. Go ahead!
04 April 2004, 08:43 PM
That's a new kinda rendering style for my part. It looks
good in this kinda concepts. But I must say I'm waiting for the
color wips. I think it will look great in colors.
04 April 2004, 05:47 PM
@hdri, thanks for the compliment :)
the first and second concept art is "old"...
"Also, make sure that your images are new beginning on March 16th, 2004. I'm sure I recognize that second image from another art forum and it will not be allowed for this contest."....
@MorteR, thanks.. the color wips comming soon.
04 April 2004, 12:19 AM

it's been a long time since i've watched a drawing for more then 30 minutes...there is soo much to discover between all those magnificent lines...
I love it, and I must say, this is one of the best entrances for the challenge i've yet seen!!
Keep those updates coming!
