Could somebody help us?
I'm trying to render a shot composed of elements rendered in Maya Software and
mental ray, but I'm having a hell of a time matching aspect ratios in the two
When switching from Maya Software to mr, the camera switches itself from the
original pixel aspect ratio of 0.9 back to 1.0... without giving any
indication at all that this has happened (ratio in render globals has not
changed, resolution gate shape hasn't changed). But when I render, the region
of interest clearly does not match the gate in Maya's UI. Even Maya's UI
seems confused at this point, with the safe action boundary distorted so that
it extends beyond the ROI!
I just want to be able to switch from Maya to mr and get the same ROI with the
same pixel aspect ratio in each.
