I am getting into softimage scripting these days due to a project i am working on. Can anybody give me any good tutorials on scripting??? Thnaks in advance.

try search on, there should be some 101 tutorials on scripting. There's also one on

Scripting in XSI is quite straight forward. Sometimes u can just copy the log and paste into ur own script and modify accordingly.

unfortunatley other than Matt Linds excellent coverage in the XSI manuals to get you started there is VERY little.

To really make use of the power of scripting, beyond basic cutnpaste of the command history, OOPs and XSIs object model should be learned.

If you need to get up to speed with vbs and object oriented programming I'd get books on that and then study XSIs object model documentation.

I'm still mostly scipting command style rather than object model as I'm just starting myself.

also download as many of the scripts off netview as you can and hack them to learn
