Few weeks ago I saw one film by Buster Keaton and got an idea of a cycling man in the 1920s. Of course this man wanted to boost himself with technological aids and developed few tricks like mechanical legs, arms, neck and heart. He also has a warming system for muscles, cooling system for joints and battery system for power. My vision is to make a pic where this developed man is cycling in the field with a girl in his arms. Something very classical but with some mechanical aids. I haven't been able to send drawings yet but will do it in few days...
This pic is an early stage planning how the leg should work. I made an animation of it but cannot send it to the forum.

Ok, back in business. This was my first sketch. Idea is to build a 1920's man with mechanical aids.
He has powerful legs, cooling system for joints and warming system for muscles (ready for action). His eyes are well suited for long and short range perception (well, sometimes works and sometimes not). This first drawing is the real man and the second is with implemented accessories...

A see-trough picture. The left side with muscles and the right with metal bones and wires. I was drawing this pic before thinking of how legs should work (my first picture with extending bones). But you get the idea.
There's mechanical heart to give the maximum pump power, heating system in the back (a small horn coming out from the back), binoculars, cybernetic neck with core going to the brain.
Every joint is a ball, that gives more moving space. And since the time for the dude is 20s he likes mechanics. So that's why he gets some more power from electronic batteries through mechanical wheels (look at the hip). You must know that there were electronic cars long before this day mostly used in big cities. They couldn't compete with combustion engine but they were silent and more suitable for city driving.

I was thinking of the consept. If the man has so speedy legs why would he want to just cycle on the ground? First I was drawing just the bike with few electrical machines. The design is a usual akward but beautiful 20s style. In the future we are not just driving cars on the ground but in the air and my character has a flying bicycle! Great! I didn't draw the wings properly (but they are beside the front wheel). He has a clutch, when it's turned on power is moved through wheels to the propeller which is in the back of the bicycle. With speedy legs he can cycle so fast that it takes him to the air (why haven't we thought this yet!)
The composition could be something like this:
This was the day when a man made his first flight with a bike!
