im still thinking how im gona assemble the mechanical parts on the turtle ill have some drawings soon...

That's hilarious! :-) A totally hare-brained scheme! I look forward to seeing how it progresses. Don't forget that a totally turbo turtle would be festooned with the corporate logos of various sponsors -- most notably, Shell. ;-)

A "turtle race" . Don't forget the number plate with her name maybe "SpeedTurtle3000".

In the picture your give the turtle's look very happy.

:bounce:

Hey another turtle! Luckly our concepts are nothing alike, besides yours appears to be a painted turtle, and mines a gaint snapping turtle.

Coming along quickly. Your concept is funny and solid. What software?

Turtle Power! Now mechanized. (

Yahou ! good concept...This is tuning turtle

Continu and good luck :applause:

03 March 2004, 02:33 AM
Looking good, but I think that the shell needs some more refinement. Of course, in the end I'm sure it will be more detailed. Keep up the good work.

03 March 2004, 07:35 AM
Hahaha cool idea, can't wait to see the final render :)

03 March 2004, 03:11 PM
thanks evrybody for the coments.

one more little update.

i dont have much time to dedicate to this chalange but evry free second ill get will be spent on this...

03 March 2004, 03:56 PM
I think that the idea its great
i think too that the super carborator you put above the tourtle its a litle too big ( I THINK).
the idea of not doing a total fusion of the animal and the machim incrises the impact and the caricature of the concep you are exploring
And the winer is...

03 March 2004, 06:01 PM
thanks daniel, i also think thts a little big. some friends olso gave me some ideas about the shel, maybe ill open it and the engine will be part on the inside. and on the top of the engine ill ad some air entries.

i didnt have time to work on it... yet... but ill be posting some updates as soon as i model it.

03 March 2004, 04:58 PM
YES :bounce: I love it
Until now no crits... just I like this really: concept, idea and the first modelling steps... !!!

Cool idea ^0^

If you make a scene with him chase the hare the idea will work even better, everyone know the story about the hare and the turtle :)
Any idea for his personality/head already? Is he gonna be wacky or mad or...?

I'd check if the integration technical parts/turtle is good enough according to the rules, if i got it right the parts should be really integrated and some things look like they're more attached. Looks nice though :)
