eye opener :)

Aaarrgh painful! Nice modeling so far... it kind of reminds me of the Todd McFarlane "Tortured Souls" figures, if you've ever seen those.

Do you have any backstory on this guy? I'd like to know more about why he's like this. Self-inflicted you say...?

03-23-2004, 07:56 AM
Looking good so far mate.

03-23-2004, 08:10 AM
Really nice man!! :applause:
I esp like his "expression"

03-23-2004, 02:27 PM
Ok well I'm not much of a story teller... But here are my thoughts on the matter of why he is in this position.
I thought it would a good way to punish him for the bad deeds that he has done in his life....But at the same time it is him alone that does the punishing...e.g.. This advanced mind reading device is directly implanted in his brain( hence the head plate thing) and this can pick up on any bad thoughts or impure emotions. And intern apply the necessary punishment be it a poke in the eye or a stretch of the nostril.
Then again it could also be totally self inflicted in the sense that he rigged it all up to himself cause he is angry at the way he has lived his life of weakness and now he must cleanse his impure weak flesh..... or something like that.
anyway I think it would be better if you all give him your own reason why he is in the dilemma that he is in..... We all feel guilty about something ;).

Ouch! Ouch!
Man, that is just painful especially those chains!!
And yet, I continue to look at it.
The modeling is coming very nicely. I like lots. I also like the story.
Waitin' to see more.
I do, however, hope this never becomes reality b/c God help me!
Pretty work, hon!

03-25-2004, 06:13 PM
haha. Thats pretty funny. Nice modeling. I guess it was either this or hire one of the three stooges to hang around poking him in the eye...

03-25-2004, 06:21 PM
Funny expression !
The drawing is interesting , the model is great too .

03-26-2004, 07:17 AM

hi 3d cloud. nice modeling. the small chains and and hooks somehow made me think of "hellraiser" :)

scary thing.

i think the small chain, that is connected from his mouth to eye, should be mounted on the helmet, to give more realism to the physical behaviour of the corner of mouth.
or place one more chain in the middle of the chain, that is connected to the helmet.

perhaps you can stretch the skin just a littlebut more, or let it even be a bit torn

also a good idea could be to open the mouth very wide (or even break his jawbone), through a chain, and then do something painful with his tongue...

well, just an idea :)

03-29-2004, 01:24 PM
looks great so far.keep going.can't wait to see how much more pain he's gonna endure.

03-29-2004, 02:01 PM
Yeah you right about the chains I think I need to some how connect them to the helmet to justify the mouth pull....hmmm I will work on it ...... As for broken Jaw ...Ouch! I think I'm gonna stay away from broken bones.

Thanks for the input.

03-29-2004, 02:16 PM

Fixed the chains

03-30-2004, 10:16 PM
Ok he is getting there, cant wait to start texturing him soon.

Its lookin' good!
I would make the metal not so pretty lookin' maybe add some flesh/blood stains on it and the chains!
I know you just started texturing just some suggestions.
Oh, and the eye, I believe since it is always exposed to the air that it would be shriveled up and dry.
Excellent work!

04-03-2004, 09:17 AM
Waahaa! Cool stuff going on here... You really enjoy torturing this poor model I see :D My favourite detail would be that little contraption forcing his index finger backwards in a weird bone-breaking angle - absolutely a very sick idea.

Some of the mechanical parts look a bit to smooth and soft-edgy to me at this point though - I wouldn't expect manufacturers of torture equipment to bother with protectively soft edges and corners on their stuff, but rather leave things rough and sharp to inflict even more pain....

Aside from that::::: :thumbsup:

05-03-2004, 12:56 AM
at home.
quite a killer.
thrill spill on blood floor
keep it up.

05-03-2004, 01:39 AM

if you add hair, add it in chunks. Maybe one small chunk of hair. He's had a hell of a time, maybe he should be missing a finger or two. Remove a few teeth, if not all of them, and staple his tongue to his chest. :applause:

or not....

05-18-2004, 03:45 PM
Ok I finally have some time to do some work on my guy ...been really busy at work.

here is a texture update. I like the broken tooth suggestion too :).

05-18-2004, 05:12 PM

Comp is very simple...3 layers and a bit of glow on my highlights.
Also a bit of grain added...Grain is my friend:).

I love the texturing..you really did bring the gory-ness to it. Go ahead and print out a blowup poster and stick it on your living room wall.
