Thought I'd give a rundown of my basic idea[no images yet]. Im going to do a sloth that can run and perform actions at high speeds due to mechanical modifications.

First concept. Thought I might look at the muscle structure for a cheetah and base the machinery on that, but this should give a fair idea of what I'm doing. comments and critique are welcome.

Digger has got potential. Is it a mole or creature? Maybe make the screw massive like the legs or twice as big as the legs so it can dig a whole large enough to fit through.... nice model dude.

Its supposed to be a mole, i probably will make the drill a bit bulkier.

Added a bit more detail and fixed up some stuff such as the small head. Leaning towards making it more of a jachhammer rather than a drill. Please comment as id really like to improve him.

Woah, whatever your using to render those are funky mats! Looks like hes made outta playdough or marzipan at the moment lol.

im using lightwave, havn't used any special materials just the default render.

Hi conundrum,

thanks for your visit. your concept is fine. the head and shoulders are very intresting for me. good vork and of course your second version of the head is much better. if you thinkin' in "mole project" you should check the mole's hand coz it's one of the most interesting part of them.

Added a bit of displacement to the body and I wanted some feedback on how the shovel hands are looking so far.

I love your style, Kieran!

The overall impression of this character is 100% cool :cool:

On the detail level, I would like to see some better definition of the fleshy part - it looks a bit rushed at the moment.

Otherwise:: Top notch stuff!

Started work on the drill after a bit of a break. Will do some more on the flesh one ive finished all of the bsic modelling. Still lookin for some feedback and critique, thanks for the suggestions so far.

this is my lighting and compositing test, havent done the texturing yet (putting it off as long as possible) but ill hopefully do that soon.

some texturing work, im planning on keeping it to this sort of light texture and bland colour to give a mineshaft feel, comments would be great.

It's looking good, but why not add some lights to the model? Perhaps some search beams or something like the light on the helmet that miners wear...
