Josh M cGraw has entered the Machineflesh 3D Challenge.
03 March 2004, 10:36 AM
This is my first 3D Challenge!
I've only been doing 3d for about a year now, so I don't expect to win, but who now what will happen, anything is possible.
Softwares that will be use:
So far this is the concept I have in the works.
Oh, and I don't know how much time I will be having for this 3D Challenge, because of work and famliy life, but I will do as much work as possible because this is going to be fun, and a great learning experience!

That is a great concept. I really have to learn how to use markers in my sketches.
Can't wait to see the progress on this one.
Good luck (but not too much, I'm entered too :p )
03 March 2004, 07:55 AM
I had some time to do some more on the concept work.
This is what I have so far.
03 March 2004, 08:02 AM
The concept art is penciled and then scan into my Athlon xp, open it up in photoshop to color it etc, no markers :p But before I had a computer I use markers though.
And good luck to you too. :D

Ok, let me tell you guys what the idea is. The idea came from looking at a playboy magazine combined with war he he he. So its a female with robbit legs, for running fast and jumping high.
It's a robo-rabbit type machineflesh
03 March 2004, 11:18 AM
cool I like this concept very much...awesome legs
Ill be checking this threat alot...
03 March 2004, 08:49 PM
what do you guys think so far?
Is this an original idea?
03 March 2004, 10:43 PM
You know the saying. "There are no more original ideas." Now if you can take something and blend it into a fresh idea then you're set. I think this is fresh from what I've seen before. Your concept sketches give lots of detail for when your're ready to model.
I'm curious about her story though. what about the world she lives in? Why is she like this? A really cool background that gives her purpose in the world will really set her apart I think. Good luck. I'll be looking for more when you post it.

a story? Ok I got one he he he.
It all start with modern alternatives to animal testing and experimentation, seeking out better ways to test out drugs to see there out come. In the meantime the human race are suffring from biochemical medicine, because scientist don't do testing on animals long enough to see there side-effects.With the midea projecting un-healthy food items (fast food etc) and in the long run become sick (lack of prana or life-force) in the body and mind, becoming weighted down dull and heavy. Because of our ignorance we turn to modern science for treatment, further poisons us in the long run.
Many years has pasts, animal testing has gotting worst, wastern medicine has fully dominate the world, except a small underground organization in India. Because the world is in a state of chaos, with the many years of destruction of the rain forests, pollution of land and water, which was to provide more land for livestock for the ever-growing human population, India has evolve to it original state of being, but seek out a way to fight against the corruption that has gone out of contol.
So many many more years has past and the underground organization in India has finaly develop bioenergeic model that can treat all disease of the body/mind complect and therefore the soul.
Westren science at this point is still practicing animal-testing, but more corrupted, which is the merging of human and animals for war purposes. This new corrupt form of life where train to fight in war and nothing elas. But they found that the vegetarian animals that has taking on this new human like form where less aggressive, and harder to train. So they had no time to deal with these creature that were not motivated to fight in battle, so they dump them off in some toxic land with no food and water to die. Meanwhile the underground organization is out looking for plant life as there is very little left on earth, In the search to do so, they come across this very unusual looking creatures on poisonous land, so they took a closer look. They were crying out help help please! So they got them on to they ship and aheaded back home. the underground organization gave the creatures there newly developed bioenergeic model (herbal formula), in no time they were gaind back to health.
In time the creatures understood what was really happen to there planet, and felt the need to do somthing about it!
It took many years to prepare for the new war against the ccorrupted world of Westren science.
War has come, the creatures went into battle, the war ended in 4 and a haft months and the underground organization in India loss the war.
So the organization for 5 years had to take on a more scientific approach to win the world war 24, by replacing some of the creatures organic parts with machine-flesh. For the type of animal they relate to the organization empower then to perform greater speed and coordinations.
The war is yet to begin.
This is the female rabbit creature that I pick to model he he he.
The story may not add up, I just type it as it came to mind. :D
Well I better get started on the modeling! :buttrock:

03 March 2004, 03:24 PM
Really nice concept....i got to keep my eye on this one!!!
03 March 2004, 11:36 PM
This is the final concept, but as I start modeling I may change many things.
vans267, I thought about robotic
rabbit ears too, that may be one of the things that I will change as I model.
03 March 2004, 04:33 AM
I started the modeling, and as I was doing so I decided to give her a rabbit nose.
More to come.
03 March 2004, 11:00 AM
here a little update,
I should be working on the body and the machine into the flesh part later today. Got to get some sleep.
Hope you guys like it so far :)
03 March 2004, 04:23 AM
Next update I will have some machine parts added to her.
03 March 2004, 04:39 AM
You are a fast modeller!
It's coming together very nicely. I love your concepts.
03 March 2004, 04:53 AM
You think I'm a fast modeller? Well this is the most time I've taking to model, because I'm putting alot of thoughts into this one, thinking about how the machine parts are going to fit into the character flesh, which I should have in the next image I upload here.
03 March 2004, 05:02 AM
I also love the concept, with the level of conceptualisation on your drawing you better back it up thight with something Unreal ;)
03 March 2004, 05:31 AM
Compared to me your the speedy gonzalez of modelling. Even when you're putting a lot of thought into it.:applause:
03 March 2004, 05:25 AM
I finally got some time to do some more modeling on my chrarcter.
Hope you guys like it so far
C&C are alway welcome!
