I felt I did a really nice concept for the 3d section, and almost thought about using that for the 2d section... But I'll think of something.

Form and ideas of some specific areas.

It was hard to think of what to do after coming up with my 3d concept. I was sketching away and saw I had drawn a sketchy fashion design type female.
I like drawing them, so lets take it a step further – develop it for this challenge.
I kept drawing and came up with this girl with the wings. I really liked her having wings. I know it is a too fairy like… but I will totally change that.
Explanation of the close up will be explained in later post.
Big credit to
That’s where I got inspired for the form of the wings. I love the way it is set low before the form takes shape

Not sure about many things still... But this I think will be a base guide
03-21-2004, 12:28 PM
Not feeling creative enough to give you the story right now... but it will come soon.
Let me know if you can't read that... And I will describe it to you.
For now though... gota get some sleep.
03-21-2004, 12:52 PM
i don't know... I am pretty happy with this concept but i feel i might change it and make something really strange.
03-21-2004, 01:46 PM
Like your concept...keep it coming:beer:
03-29-2004, 03:32 PM

03-30-2004, 01:33 PM
no havn't dropped out. just been working on my 3d challenge part... And a zillion other things.
Thinking about changing my idea to something silly though.
More to come... but later.

Thanks future14. Good luck to you as well.
I have changed my idea, although I might pull elements from this one. I have drawn an image I need to upload. Its about how the human body is enhanced to be a little more indistructable. Example... someone in the future who has a car crash will probably get scratched up, but their organs and bones will stay intact. As the whole inner body is filled with springs and suspensions and this and that to protect vital bits. Also some sort of suport between limbs and body too so a character can lift heavier objects.
Anyways, the girl I am doing now is stronger, more flexable, more durable and most importantly.... taller.

here are some more thoughts. I still think I want it to be more silly. The girl just isn't working for me.
04-05-2004, 11:46 AM
I kinda like this. Might build on this... but not fully happy with the concept yet.
04-05-2004, 10:17 PM
i like the way you stylise the female form, it does look like the kind of style a fashiondesigner would use, what about using flat colour to colour the final drawing or at least a conceptual i think it would go very well with your style...

Thanks the_mighty_m... although my concept has now changed. Here is the new idea.
Due to the uncontrolling rate the fly has grown (almost as big as a human skull) scientists try new methods to keeping their population numbers down.
Due to their new enormous size humans can no longer rely on bug spray and insect killer, as the amount of poison necessesary would also harm the human body.
Without thinking of the consequences a radical development team engineered a way for frogs to fly. After seurgicly implimenting wing like features, it only took a matter of days for the frog to understand how to use and control his new body.
Assuming that the wings would die off with the frogs and they could controll how many frogs had these wings, the devolopment team (left unnamed due to legal reasons) set forth and enhanced hundreds of thousands of these frogs. They called these frogs the (insert title here) frogs.
Soon after it was a common sight to see frogs flying after the flys and wresteling it in the air to bring to the ground and begin their meal.
The humans thought it was a complete success.... but was it?
OK All... I have a few drawings to post on this, but I want to play with the angles and forms a bit more first. My image will be of a fly in the foreground flying towards us, but a frog is right behind catching up. The frog might have his tongue wrapped around the fly. This is a totally new addrenalin rush for the frog, so I am thinking his facial expression will be of excitment, and the fly is to look worried.

Explained in detail in my WIP... but I have changed my concept to a frog with wings.
04-07-2004, 01:09 PM
framing of shot.. I think I want to make a portrait picture so I will skew and rotate this around a bit.
04-08-2004, 07:23 AM
I just noticed that there are at least two other really good frog threads....
Let me know if anyone comes accross anymore... but maybe I will go back to the drawing board to come up with some new ideas. I really was keen on working on this frog though.
04-08-2004, 04:00 PM
I personnaly think that your girls are more interesting than the frog. try to work more on it, to find original details
04-09-2004, 05:54 AM
You are probably right. I just didn't want to work on another human... but hey.
Official word is (for today anyway... I might change my mind tomorrow) I am back onto those girls.
06-02-2004, 10:36 PM
Not long left to go and I have so many other projects I need to work on at home.
Is this me officially quitting?
Unless something totally bizarre happens and I stay awake for 24 hours a day for the next couple of weeks.
Hope to contribute more to the challenges in the future.
Till next time.
