i usually do film production. For games do i follow the same modelling principles, but keep my faces between 500-3000 (pending on the hardware/contract). Or do i use the create polygon tool as opposed to extruding and smoothing etc.
im probably just going to do what i find most comfortable, which is probably the most obviouse answer, but i thought on inquiring with you guys a bit first.
i am speaking in reference to character modelling for a game, but some tips on environments would be kikass too.
my primary software is maya, but i can use anything.
