Thanks all! I'll try to get a test render posted soon of what I'm attempting to do with this.

I like your idea you have created here. I'd be interested to see your final animation.

Besides that, I am not seeing any imperfections in your image. Either that or my eyes aren't trained to be vicious. :-)

Very nice FX!!!!:buttrock:

03-08-2004, 05:33 PM
Very cool! I actually had such a similar Idea a while ago aswell... :)
I think you need to improve the depth of field though. It looks weird, just like some boxes are blurred.. but they don't look "closer". Maybe it's weird because they're not bigger?

This is incredible. Did you see the Butoh dance image posted a week back? Similar but different. Is the seperation/breakaway going to be real time?

03-09-2004, 03:09 AM
Thanks everyone.

Yes! The Butoh dance image is Awesome!

03-09-2004, 05:06 PM
Cooler than the Matrix , I think !

03-09-2004, 06:12 PM
verry cool

Sorry for the delay on the animation. I jumped into a UV mode, still has it's problems but were getting there I think. My hope is that I can take the uv look and mix it into the poly look. Should be cool if I can pull it off! Then animation for sure. Guess I'm back in a wip:shrug:

Thanks again for the feedback:thumbsup:

I really like that last pic! :bounce:
Not saying that I don't like your textured version, but I think the green version was also nice in it's own way.

03-19-2004, 02:11 AM
Thanks! Yeah, the image without break up was just to show I was moving in that uv mode, but trying to get that texture of the the first two images. I like where I'm at

you take drugs?

03-19-2004, 03:06 AM
nice model, but you might wanna check your hoses, i think you've got some polygonal seepage there, heh heh :applause:

i really really really like the green image. its got more trippy value to it. but your texturing is pretty sweet, too. have your thought of maybe rendering both and comping one into the other?

03-19-2004, 03:18 AM
Can't wait to see it animated!

03-19-2004, 06:31 AM
Yep, I love both looks for sure:thumbsup: The green is probably still my favorite too, but I had to see what the more Realistic look might feel like with this effect. I like both... thanks!

You know this model can't be animated, 90 percent of this model is "Unnecessary" and "Messy". I'll take the 90 and bump it another 10;)

03-19-2004, 01:30 PM
But I thought this one went to eleven?

03-19-2004, 01:52 PM
I realy like the two first pictures, quite insane! :)
lots of

kinda quick, but that's what were after.

It's strange but I like it. I saw the animation... it looks weird, sorry. I think the movement is not right at all. I'm not sure what you were pretending, but if it was that, then I'll ask you to change your mind :-P
But I hope it was only a test. The stills are impressive, try to animate it well and you'll do a great animation.
Keep updating, good luck!

First I was impressed.
Excellent concept, allthouse I saw things like this before.
But still excellent stills. My mind went on to particle driven animation, but than sudenly very static animation. Hopefully you will change your mind, or you will use some good post effects. I agree withy previous post, that if you change it you will have excellent animation.

Thanks for the feedback! I really need help in how to animate this idea, so it will be effective. My first test was fast robotic type movment, thought it would be cool. Quick jumping of the polys. I still kind of like it, but you guy's are right, looks pretty silly at the same time. Maybe just way to fast.... I'm still in test mode for sure, so how about this, a floaty type feel? Please let me know, this really helps!

so how about this, a floaty type feel?
much closer to the money!! before it looked like he was... i dont know, swinging a pixel axe or something. now its a whole lot more what i imagined. i dont suppose there's a way to animate him walking, and then all the little pieces coming apart out of his mesh??

I checked your thread from the beginning. You deal with critics very good. The improvement is obvious. Please continue this way.
It will be realy good.

Reminds me of that Radiohead video...
