View Full Version : interior: Public toilet

This is done as a commercial project for company named Union clean (clean and sterile). They sell toilet accessories like soap dispensers, hand dryers etc.
My job was to model whole toilet. Textures, lights and render was also my job. Colegues modeled those accessories.

Rendered with Max 5.1 and VRay.

those are some amazingly photoreal shots! did you use reference for the actual toilet room? cuz the urinals look a bit oddly shaped, and... THERE ARE NO STALLS!!! :surprised otherwise, this is a very sharp, very clean render.

now for some real fun, go back in and put grime on the walls, crack a few tiles, and stain the porcelain! put some wet toilet paper on the ground! make it artfully dirty, like a real public toilet!! :applause:

one thing that gets me is the height of the mirrors in relation to the door height, especially the bottom of the mirrors

I agree with superman. If you look at the relationship between the door and the mirrors, basically someone will only be able to see their head in it !

I think the proportions on the mirrors and counters are fine, I think the door is just way to short. Although I think the bottom of the mirrors are a little bit too high off the counter top.

Other than that, amazing renders, and the solo shots of the products look very real.

great job.. 1 comment, isnt the door a tad too small? or is it just me :)

03-06-2004, 11:59 PM
Yes you are right about mirror. Bottom edge is at 160cm and I dont like this but client asked to put them above products :hmm:

Doors are 200*80 cm and wall hight is 270cm.

Amazing metal shader :)

Wow very good
some advice:...

the mirror looks like a hole and you put the same thing at its back, so it's not that real.
the water looks dirty@_@"....

Well I love the design, the blue one is better than the original one.

Wow I like those individual pieces shots.... but I agree the pic of the whole thing looks to clean..... but its still damn good!

if someone is in a hurry...sorry, I forgot to put toilet paper :p

The metal reflections just don't look right. They look like glass mirrors. Maby give them just a tad bit of haze, kinda like streaky clean. The stall shot shows it the most, the paper dispencer almost blends in with the wall. If it was just a little not as reflective it would stand out better.

Thanx Barry, I'll try to improve that.
