Since it's Dr. Suess' birthday this week, I thought I'd post a set based on his work that I completed a couple months ago. This is the Once-Lers Lerkim from 'The Lorax'

That is cool man. WHat program did you use?

:applause: Excellent, I love the mood.
my only crit would be to give the ground mist some "weight", to have some opacity to it instead of only an additive quality to it.

This is why I love CG. Realising your imagination into these kinda pictures. I like it

Nice work! ^0^
The quality of the background (moon and all) is less good than the model, but it's not a big deal because as a whole the work still looks really good :)

love the doors and the stuff hanging by the lamp. Walls seem a bit too smooth to me.

It was made in 3D Max.

Red X (connection refused)
You need a mirror after only 500 views? What is the internet coming to these days!? :p

this really should be plugged, in my opinion

Ah! There it is. Very nice!
The only thing that bugs me is the strong rim light on both sides of the building. Makes it look less than real, imho.

I love it. The lighting and mood is superb. great texturing and background. It really gains the mood. Though more of a dark side of DR seuss. :) great work

The moon is too big by the perspective.
Otherwise every thing is excellent~~

Hey, I love this. I see it on the wall every day at school though too ( I go to AiPD too). Great work man.

hello fellow ai student, well not anymore...hehe
this render is in the halls at school. your work has always impressed me, its weird that with your talent you didn't show it off enough. i ended up figuring how good you were by the time you graduated, which sorta sux but at least i know there are talented people at this school. good job!
you should throw up a tutorial or possibly talk about your process.

It's great to see you posting your work Chris! The mood in this image is wonderful. I like the large moon myself...it goes with the otherworldly feeling of the piece. Great Job! I look forward to seeing more of your work:thumbsup:
