View Full Version : Characters: Multiplayer Battle Chess
03 March 2004, 06:34 PM
I recently finished developing an online multiplayer flash game. It is based on Chinese chess, the popular board game from Asia. I started by making the simple 3D models, board, etc. The multiplayer capability is supported by Flash Communication Server. Upon connection you enter a chatroom where you can load your own avatar, chat and challenge other users; your battle records will also be saved. Feel free to try it out and give me some feedbacks. Registration is free or you can enter as "guest".

Starts off cool, but I keep getting connection failed, can't actually play the game :( Might not be your end, could be my company's firewall.. Dont know..

mmm I am not sure, so far it works for everyone I have talked to, including people who are behind firewall because of the flash com server connection.
I will look into it
thx for checking it out

you know what it starts cool but I had no clue what to do within 30 seconds and then I left (it's just an average of how low people usually stay :) ). You should read some interface design books, because it's rather ambiguous right now. It's the most important thing, make sure the user always knows how to do the stuff he wants. It's nice to drag around windows (looked pretty cool too, by the way) but what's the use of that?
It's important that you understand that explaining the interface to me won't be enough, because you can't explain every visitor of your site in personal. However I'm still interested :)
