As far as you lot are aware, has Poly UV mapping been altered in Maya since 4.5 to a huge degree. According to Alias they say it should work the same, but it isn't!
I am using the same method I always did, select my polys, apply a projection, clean upthe UV's in the editor,export the map, Photoshop it, import it, apply it etc.
Now, that has always worked fine, but sice upgrading to 5.01 it's changed. I now end up with two UV sets (I haven't told it to do this) and after importing my texture map I have to re-apply all my projections! What the hell am I doing wrong here?
