figured id do the new acura hsc concept car. its not perfectly proportional to the real car as there isnt any blueprints out there for it, so i had to run off pictures from car shows, etc. here it is:
right now im working on the tail lights, once their done ill post a back pic.

ive seen pics of this car in road and track.

I'm not familiar with this car at all, so no comment there, but it looks pretty good to me. What is the poly count so far on this baby?

From the shot you've given us it looks like the side of the car from back to front looks fairly flat and on the same plane. If that's the way the car is, than no problem.

pseudobug: the tricount so far on the body is pretty high at about 3400. gonna have to start chopping soon :P. and yeah there is a slight bend in the side of the car but its so subtle that i think im gonna start chopping some polies there. the main place for optimizing is going to be the taillights and exhaust though.

ive also been thinking of making some glass and doing a very low poly (less than 100) engine like in the actual concept car. only problem is i cant find any good pics of the engine!?!?! ive got one semi-ok pic that gives me a general idea but i think i may just find a pic of an nsx engine and throw it under the cover. neways, stay tuned for further updates!

argh! no! dont model the rims on the rear lights and tiny indentations on the body! those are texture areas, maybe (just maybe) u can simplify the light rims but id ditch them till the very end atm i reckon 50-75% of ur epolys are in that back im sure theres others details!

well im aiming for around 2500-2800 tri's for the body but im allocating most of them to the back because in a game situation you would be seing the back of the car the most (driving) but yeah, i am going to have to dumb down the tail lights and some of the indentation to hit my mark.
