hey people thought id post this here since its more likly to get a response, can anyone tell me how to setup a realtime shader render tree that includes reflection and transparancy? ive setup a bassic 1 pass with the tga's alpha controlling the trasnprancy thru blending (src alpha> src alpha minus) but how cna ia dd reflection as well the reflection seems to go off the alpha map too :/ i just want a uniform low level reflection all over (car paint)

I wish i knew... i have had troubles doing that too. You might want to ask in the Softimage section of the forums, very friendly bunch over there.

hey thanx but can u either save a preset thats openable in 3.1 or detail ure blending? with rt shaders the rendertree isnt too useful sadly as the important information isnt exposed :)

heres the solution, i applied the reflection ontop of the existing tree rather than before, the alpha channel of the environment controls its intensity on the object :)
