View Full Version : XSI Liquid Effects

Hey guys,
I've been looking around for information about XSI's liquid effect capabilities, but info seems scarce. I was hoping someone could give some opinions on how powerful/versatile it is, and what bodies of water its best at imitating (ie pouring vs. lakes vs. oceans). How does this compare to liquid dynamics in Maya or 3DS? Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

There is no special module in XSI specialized in liquid dynamics. You can use traditional particle dynamics with blobs. Or various modeling/animation workarounds to achieve water effects. There is Plugin and standalone aplp called RealFlow that could do the job. But of course it depends on what kind of realism you want to achieve. Cheers.
