View Full Version : How easy/hard to rig?

Hi everyone!

I've been testing 3d packages for a quite a long time now (incl. LW, C4D, XSI and Maya) and I'm a student.

With XSI it was really easy to rig a character with the Biped Guide even if I'm a newbie.

I just wonder if it is easy to rig and skin a character within Maya? And I don't mean a superb rig, just one that I could use for simple animations.

Sorry if I made myself unclear.:/

A skinned skeleton can be done in a couple hours, maybe less. It's the bells and whistles with extra polish that take time.
