"dune"-inspired character, supposed to resemble pauls father leto, trying to activate his body shield after hearing a suspicious noise.
anyway, ~4500 or so triangles, two diffuse- (=color) and specular-, normal- and .. uh... selfillumination-maps. quite heavy, i know but it's not for ingame use.
instead, i plan to use the model for cutscene/lip-sync-practice with bone-driven facial animation. it's already set up and weighted.

thats awesome!! And as far as i know its well within the limits of the upcoming game engines. Amazing work!

Very nice, I like it. Great use of maps. Might tone down the spec though a bit in the forehead. Really good job though.

Very cool model and texture! I think his head and hands look a little too large proportion wise. I still need to finish DUNE one day but, it's an awsome series so far.

thanks ppl. i've re-scaled hands and head somewhat and like the result. as for toning down the specularity - unfortunately if i do that, i lose most of the bump effect, so it's a trade-off. the level of specularity works ok for the planned lighting situations, though.
