here's a project I'm working on in an after effects class I'm taking. It's about the misfortune of two lovebirds who've chose the wrong day to go for a walk in the forest.

any ideas about plot and pacing would be appreciated. I know i want slow down some of the action and add in some more stylized action. Also I might add in some more trees to make it feel more like a forest.

let me know what ya think!

here's a still:

and an updated render of the whole thing:

as you can tell I've decided to call it "Two for Lunch." Tonight I'm going to add in some more animation details. Another thing I'm contemplating is adding a drop shadow behind the characters.

ideas? crits?

man, that is the weirdest thing I've ever seen... hehe... what were you SMOKING? my only suggestion is possibly spending a little more time defining the animation... I'm not saying shoot for Disney, but I dunno, a lot of the keyframes look kinda random and haphazard.

I really like the graphical style of it, though. and the drop shadow might look cool too. like, are you think drop shadows for the actual line drawings? or just for the shapes?

i think it looks cool, but the idea i've been operating on is that this is a direct translation of the drawing style i've been using for some prints i've been doing, and that style doesnt involve drop shadows at all. since the project will be graded on technique I might throw in the drop shadows just for my class, but take them out for personal use.

here's an update with some new animation and the drop shadows I mention above. C&C please.

He i like it. The shadow effect works for me.
I like the rough unconventional look of it... also the sparse use of color works for me.
As for story lines... wel amaze me again!
