Some fragments of the Hi-Res image:
02 February 2004, 11:55 PM
Very rich image here as always.
The yellow baracades were an interesting addition. They look a tad small perhaps?
02 February 2004, 11:57 PM
looks amazing, the only thing that detracts from it's realism is the yellow grates... they don't seem to fit with the image.
02 February 2004, 12:01 AM
It might be interesting to swap the yellow baracades with a group of pigeons.
The details and subtlety here is just so painterly.
02 February 2004, 12:14 AM
Very nice work indeed
I agree with the yellow baracade comment, they do look a touch too small. Your stains and weather effects are on point and I especialy like the cracks in the concrete. Also the motion blured birds in the background are a nice touch
keep it up
02 February 2004, 12:20 AM
Good ilumination. The floor tex is perfect, an example to another
This looks very good.
02 February 2004, 12:21 AM

02 February 2004, 12:24 AM
Good god, another one!!

I agree bout the baracades. They looks a bit small and outa place, although there intresing.

02 February 2004, 12:00 PM
You need to show that there is glass on the window. And get rid of they little yellow fences (?) because they are distracting, and they look like plastic toys.
Good work overall
02 February 2004, 12:06 PM
WOW  very real!! I love it
02 February 2004, 12:12 PM
simply perfect, as always
very nice lighting and texturing.

02 February 2004, 12:35 PM
Hey Nice work man, but in the top right hand corner in the sky there are nice clouds and then theres this long one, where it looks like you were so happy to finsh and you needed to pee, you have just got like a 3D Paint tool and gone WOOSH because no clouds that perfect and striaght, well i have never seen that kinda cloud full stop, Oh Well Nice shit man;)
02 February 2004, 12:45 PM
amazing render..lots of details
02 February 2004, 12:50 PM
I mast say that it is truly brilliant work. I found your last works from signature also superb. I have no comments more than that. Brilliant!
02 February 2004, 12:51 PM
Juan! te pasaste, nuevamente. La imagen es sensacional. Felicitaciones. Me encanta la iluminación (es VRAY ¿no?)
Tus escenas exteriores me parecen geniales.
Very nice job pal! Keep it up!
Awesome, as always...
02 February 2004, 01:02 PM
Congratulations!!,one of the best pictures that I see:thumbsup:
02 February 2004, 01:16 PM
Mate, you must have built half of Spain by now! :)
As always a quality image, I've always admired your lighting and texturing skills. I'd also ask you remove the yellow fences.
I've been watching your work for sometime and I'm very impressed... keep up the good work.
02 February 2004, 01:38 PM
Now that is a house I would like to live in. :)
The Barracades are a little too yellow not sure why they would be there in the first place. But overall, I love it.
02 February 2004, 02:01 PM
Hello, THANKS to everybody, I really appreciate the coments and critics.
you ask me for the yellow barricades... I see that you don't like a lot but what can I do if I find them a good element in the scene? they solve me a problem of chromatic balance, there is something that requests me some yellow element for that corner... you know? anyway, I thank all the comments a lot and, of course to the moderators to put my image in frontpage.
I apologize about my english... excuse me
02 February 2004, 02:08 PM

02 February 2004, 03:59 PM
I love it.

02 February 2004, 04:12 PM
Yes, the birds are in the background.
02 February 2004, 04:26 PM
Very very nice Work!
02 February 2004, 04:38 PM

Nice work man:bounce:
02 February 2004, 08:28 PM
Like everyone has said before, Great textures, awesome lighting. The color of the light wants me to set back, relax and enjoy a brew on the sidewalk.
02 February 2004, 08:31 PM
WOw! SIquier :) you did it again! I really like your contrast of Dawn mood, you have the good cyan and the nice copper sunlight !
keep on the good work man,
02 February 2004, 08:37 PM
The textures are great!
keep going this way!
02 February 2004, 08:45 PM
02 February 2004, 12:17 AM
I love it!
This is something strait out of a storybook! The colors are so rich that it accomplishes the hard-to-get comic-realism-look. Nicely carricated testures and all! AND some really good arcitectural design!
02 February 2004, 12:27 AM
Wow, really great. I haven't done much work in Architectural stuff, I'm still learning anatomy and physical attributes.
The only crit is that the upper windows' edges around the glass seem to round for that type of wall..but I love the testure/color/outdoor lighting. Very good :)
02 February 2004, 12:56 AM
wow, that is awesome.
Beautifully rich textures make it feel very warm and give the image personality.
I'm curious, how detailed is the modeling, and how much of the realism comes from good texturing and lighting ?
02 February 2004, 01:09 AM
Great stucco work! Amazing detail.
02 February 2004, 01:36 AM
Good job, but those edges on the house are too sharp. Bevel it baby!
 <-- top view of face doing situps...makes ya think doesn't it
02 February 2004, 02:24 AM
very good looking image
ur dirty wall look so real - and this comment is very kind comment in CG world - I like it and congrat on the fronpage
02 February 2004, 03:09 AM

02 February 2004, 03:55 AM
Beautiful! I love the details, textures and lighting. :)
02 February 2004, 05:18 AM
Wow, just wow. Your texturing is phenominal, lighting is great, too. Oh, and the modeling, and and and...
...g, maybe I could just kiss your ace s'more.

02 February 2004, 07:56 AM
I am not gonna tell you anithing abut thecnics. As I told you, when I see your works I fell more like seeing an oil picture.
As allways, great composition, amazing color and great sense of artistic scene.
Great work firend!!!
02 February 2004, 08:18 AM
quite detailed work. very good
however there are only two criticism.
1. barriers on the left site break the style.
2. the tree behind the house is without leaves but the scrub still
02 February 2004, 08:57 AM
When I saw the thumbnail in the top of cgtalk, I knew it's from you!! well done, good modelling, and lightning...and nice house... :)
Keep up the good work!
Enhorabuena, tio! :)
02 February 2004, 10:11 AM
Everything is perfect except the road.

02 February 2004, 12:00 PM
That's just amazing :)
02 February 2004, 12:56 PM

02 February 2004, 01:52 PM
since when is it allowed to post photogr.. ooh nevermind :)
nice work ;)
02 February 2004, 02:49 PM
Just the textures are too "the same." i mean the left seems like the right. Sorry for my bad English.
02 February 2004, 06:19 PM
Great job on texuturing
what program did you use?
keep it up :buttrock:
02 February 2004, 07:00 PM
02 February 2004, 08:14 PM
I dont know if you got this comment already but here it goes. The color of the background sky does not correspond to the sunset lighting you are aiming at. Anyway spectacular rendering.
02 February 2004, 12:17 AM
Great scene Juan, I love the atmosphere ( o como se escriba, me reifero a que me gusta el ambiente creado en torno al edificio), and fantastic texture job.
Congratulations Juan, you are my inspiration for my next scene.
02 February 2004, 12:56 AM
U are the best one
the only tamagochi´s powha
best regards friend
02 February 2004, 06:07 AM
as usual, AWESOME.......by the way, i've seen most of ur works are set under daytime, why not try to render something during night time? it will be stunning also i think....
02 February 2004, 07:31 AM
Nice illumination of the scene maan, damn you have patience. Nice composition and seems very real .keep it up. Please tell us which rendering program u use ?????
:applause:
02 February 2004, 08:27 AM
Thanks, thanks, thanks to everybody the image is now in the CG choice Gallery I feel happy.
- Yes, maybe I will try some nocturnal ilumination
- I´ve used MAX6 + VRay
- The scene was completed in 2 week
- The original render is 2.600px X 1.950px and the rendertime was 1:50:58
- The only postproduction was to add saturation in some areas.
and finally THANKS again
02 February 2004, 11:08 AM
Wow! so fast!
I wonder, why don't you use mental ray if you have it built in max 6? haven't you tried it?
And a question: what machine are u using? because the rendertime is short and the image resolution is pretty high...!
:applause: Incredible image... Again!
02 February 2004, 11:13 AM
I´ve used VRay (really fast) and my machine is a Pentium-IV 2.500 and 1Gb.ram
02 February 2004, 06:33 PM
Fantastic work Juan looks amazing ,Very Good Textures.Good ilumination.
02 February 2004, 08:05 PM

03 March 2004, 10:15 PM
I like the yellow gates. They remind me of feeble attempts to protect pedestrians in Madrid.
03 March 2004, 08:50 AM
Finally, the real sawmill was burned
04 April 2004, 04:43 AM
Amazing work. The only thing that bugs me is the tree in the background. The branch looks very 3d.
