View Full Version : Unparenting joints causes shooting...

I'm trying the techniques in Integrating a Creature Animation Rig within a Production Pipeline from Jason Schleifer.

In 5.0.1, when I unparent a joint from another, it goes shooting off into the distance.

In 4.X, it works fine.

What is the problem? Is it a bug or do I have some crazy preferences set somewhere?

do you have the translates locked?
that would do it.

also check to see if u have preserve position checked on in the paretn options.

Preserve parent in the unparent was the culprit!
