Lovely job Maria.

Good work with the trees and the sense of moodiness and suspense with the forest and distant rider. Not so with the girl. Although she is nicley posed and detailed her lighting is such that she appears glued onto the page, not one with her setting. I think the problem is the way you have chosen to light her. If you put you hand to the right of the girl in your image you see how she could stand apart or indeed be the focus of a study all by herself rather being one with the scene.

those trees are beautifull. very sleepy hollow (t.b.). as is the girl though she doesn't seem to 'mesh' with the image.

very nice, i think its cool how she bright and the background is dark...its a nice contrast...then again she does look out of place.....but still....i like it:thumbsup:

The girl seems lit for a different light source, but she isn't casting a shadow. I think unless you are trying to spotlight her, you should try and work with the lighting from behind that you have with the rest of the settings, which is beautiful, incedentally. Maybe tone down the saturation into some of the same general hues, as the rest of your pallete
