View Full Version : FlashEx

I'm playing around with this demo I found linked from Postforum (which miraculously hasn't crashed MSIE today...)
It's actually looking pretty sturdy and the results I get from it are fair to decent.
Has anyone purchased it that likes or dislikes it?

i've never tried it so far.

We bought falshEx because we thought it was good and well..
i mean its okay for rendering not too complicated lowpoly stuff, but with more sophisticated models its almost unuseable. also it does not export the effects of deformers - bones - imho a good flash exporter for c4d does not yet exist

I have still yet to see an intelligent flash expeorter on any platform. I want to see an exporter that does not aproximate the render, but builds curves based on your mesh.
And only if the people at Macromedia realised how they would dominate the industry if they made flash 3d capabile

I thought the new Shockwave WAS 3D Capable?
I'm pretty sure I read an article about it in Computer Graphics World http://www.cgw.com

Yeah it is, but shockwave is different to flash. They are seperate products, and Macromedia wants to keep both of them viable. Shockwaves reason for being takes a big hit when flash gets 3D.
I can think of a few companies that think like that. Adobe comes to mind.
