This is a WIP I've been working on for the past couple of days. Still needs some proportional tweaking and hands are very rough but crits are welcome.

looks pretty good overall. the two things that seem to jump out at me as being a little off are his rib cage coming down (towards the waist) a little too far, and the pec/delt tie in area where the outer pectoralis muscle flows into the (front) deltoid. His deltoid is maybe a little too round a little too far down, and the pec doesn't quite flow into it as much as it could. Though he looks like he lifts weights, so maybe he's just got some pec tears from heavy benching. Pretty good though. A close up of the face would sure be cool!

Nice Start!

I like the face alot. The things I see are the upper torso and the fact tht he seems a little plain(like he needs a loincloth or some horns poking out of him, just to give him a really cool/scary silohette(?))

I really like the hellboy like barrel chest, but I think it might bulge out a bit too much. Other than that I'd just say he needs something extra to make him from a good looking model to a memorible one.


(edit) can we see him with smoothign groups on?

Cool, thanks for the crits. Yeah I will probably be tweaking the torso/waist/back quite a lot, and will post a more smoothed version later. I should probably mention that this was made in Maya. Here is a face closeup:

Here is an update... been trying to get more and better detail in the muscles. Let me know if I'm on the right track or what.

to me his torso looks a tad broad, not much - otherwise, he's lookin pretty wicked! get a map on that guy!

following TobyWong's suggestion, I modeled a loin cloth and cape, and the beginnings of a staff/sceptre. He is going to be kind of a kingly Price of Darkness kind of character. Now, to refine the hands and feet, finish the staff, and on to texturing. Thanks for the crits guys!

Here is another update, with more defined muscles and some other changes to enhance the form.
And here is a sillouhette view: I will probably be texturing it soon so I'll leave off with the updates until I get that done. Cheers for any crits! :)
