Great Texturing =) relly nice.. the only Thing Bothering Me is the Blue Colors.. they dont really Fit in.. and maybe the pants could use Some Tearing and Wearing damage.. they look too "NEW" to be worn by an undead ;)..
other than That... really Ace...

Lost_in_spajS, the blue color is taken from the concept art.
Here it is:
What color would you suggest?
02-14-2004, 03:22 PM
I would suggest a dark green/brown but thats me.
THe glasses are ok.. I dont really like them in there tho. just my opp

that model is awsome, but the concept.... no lol
Looks like a demon with childs toys or something... Decked out in supersoaker gear lol
Model itself is on the right track though, i like the blue there myself.

I think That like Pizza Said a Green hue Would Look better.. but thats only if your not Goin to stay true to the Concept Color Schemes.. i Think you Could Stick with the Blue if u Made it Darker with more Contrast not So PurpleISH ;).. i Still love the Textures though.. do what u think feels Right ..

Hey thanks for your replies! :)
How do you like the armor texture?
What would you do to make the character more interesting and appealing?
02-18-2004, 04:02 PM
i like this model. the texturing is pretty cool.
on the model tho i wouldn't bother modeling the rim on the bottom of his shoe.
you can't really see it in the textured version and by my reckoning it's costing you 80 poly's. if you are under the limit anyway i don't suppose it matters . it was just a thought.
p.s thanks!! now i can see why my kness weren't working properly. ( on my model, not my real knees :)

man, I would completely redo the pants man. I mean you killed the upper body and the face, but the pants look like they took you 5 minutes. Obviously you have the skills judging from the rest of the texture, so just work you magic on the pants! : )

You a right that rim is not visible on the taxtured image but it's quite visible in profile view. I will post some screens later.
Akildee... well I didn't texture this model.. it's our texture artist - Kate. Anyway, what's wrong with the pants?
Would you like them to be more dirty?

Oh I'm sorry I thought you wanted crits on everything not just the model. The model looks pretty cool. As for the pants, I think right now they are just a distraction to an otherwise wonderfully painted map. The overall color is too light so it distrats from the face and the upper body, I think that's the main problem. And yes some more wrinkles, tears, dirt, grim and blood would definitely help. Also some color wear in front. Maybe some seem lines and pockets and a belt. And if they are supposed to be more like warm up pants instead of jeans, how about that rope belt that criss crosses over and under the fabric and then ties in the front. Sort of like wrestling pants or something. I just think that everything is consistent except for the pants. But that's just my two cents.

Hey Akildeee.. You thought right :) I do want crits on everything.
Thanks for your input. :)
