View Full Version : Maya 5.0 Ik/FK - Better or Worse?

Hi guys,

I have recently heard several people in different forums express a concern over the new auto ik/fk feature in Maya 5 stating that it is better to stick to the old manual 3 joint chain setup.

I am simply wondering what exactly it is about Maya's ik/fk blending that does not work correctly. I was planning on switching my rigs to this new method but after hearing about the distaste for the new method I thought I'd ask here first.
