View Full Version : Martin Krol Tiger timelapse - Mirai bool?!

Hi, I just watched MK's wonderfull Tiger construction timelapse video and I wonder about one thing. There's this kinda gas mask that he constructs for the tigers head. He creates a cylinder and than lots of little cylinders that go across that main cyl. Now, he combined them in a way that little ones got chipped off by the big one. How can you do that in Mirai? I'm confused.

why dont you go to the izware forums and ask him.

NOt being a Miari user I can still guess how this was done.
if you hav a cylidar and its pivot is in the centre, you can scale only in the local z (or whatever) axis and its should scale both ends back toward the centre. Doing this on all the copies would give it the illusion of chipping you speak of.
Just a guess.
You may also want to check out Bay Raitts forums as Martin is a Mod their too.

meloncully: IZware's site was down for a week or so. It's up again :D
Chico: Interesting, now that you've mentioned it. Maybe he did that but because of timelapse I couldn've noticed the tedious process of doing exactly that. It looked like real boolean.
