View Full Version : Vehicle: Subaru WRX

I've been slowly learning modeling in Maya for the last ~6 months. My current project is to model a Subaru WRX under 4500 polys to possibly be used in a game or mod.
Here's what I've got so far. The corner panel is really ugly, I need to clean it up ASAP. Right now its at ~1600 polys once triangulated, and I still have the entire back end to do, plus optimizing and cleaning up a bunch of the front + sides. If I have enough polys left over when I'm done with that, I'm going to try and model the interior. The window's are really messed up as well - just ignore them :P.

Getting closer. Almost done fixing that front corner panel, added some details, and started on the back end. Just noticed that the front bumper has a weird problem, gotta make sure to fix that. Made some wheels, but not sure if I like 'em -

argh not another subaru :( subarus and audi TT's have been ruined forever to me! why cant people pick new stuff seriously?

Sorry for 'ruining' this fine automobile for ya :( It just happens to be my dream car, so I figured it'd be fun to model it. The wheels are obviously not final - but I wanted to slap something in there.
So, other than the wheels - anything else?

Actually yes, the mags are off, i think they should be slightly bigger, it also depends on what version your doing, if it has a tarmac setup or gravel etc...
PS: Commy, just wait till you see what im working on now :-)

Still have to re-do the wheels, and then finish the back end, and then texture.
