View Full Version : Blender to Maya model transfer

Hi all,

I was woundering if anyone knew how to transfer a model from Blender into Maya. I really need the easy way of doing it (if its possible), prefer not to get into scripts but if theres no other way, then just please walk me through it.

Out of the box, the new version of Blender can import from these formats:
AC3D, Raw Triangle, OFF (who knows what it means), DXF and VRML1.0

If can export into:
VRML1.0 and 2.0, DXF, Videoscape, AC3D, Cal3D v0.5, DirectX, OFF and raw triangle.

Wich one of those formats is supported by Maya.

Plus, there are extra blender plug-ins for virtually every 3D format out-there, I use the OBJ i/o plug-in a lot.

Save the following script to your
directory and start blender.
It exports/imports from/to wavefront .obj
