02 February 2004, 03:54 PM
Holy s***!!!! :surprised
Respect !
nice details,and dirty texturs!!

02 February 2004, 04:08 PM
You are the man!

Outstanding work you have done here!

The only thing that worries me is the second bird from the right . It doesn't seem to standing right.
Also the ladder seems to be small according to the scale of the man standing there(IMO).

Well done!

02 February 2004, 04:48 PM
perfect man nice job.

but the wires does not fit i think may be they can be more thin

but i think this work is great :bounce:  :bounce:

02 February 2004, 04:59 PM
Ah, New Crobuzon has never looked grungier... :D

I love your interpretation of Perdido Street Station; a real Cathedral/Sci-fi/Evil Police-State-HQ feel to it!

I need to see more of these - I tried to work on a Lin model a few months ago, but could just not get it looking right - care to take it on? :D

02 February 2004, 05:10 PM
dude i really would love to see your mesh, that image is friggin fantastic, do u have a series of these pictures because i would love to see more of this kind of work it's awesome.

02 February 2004, 05:40 PM
Awesome detailed image! There is nothing to criticize :applause:

02 February 2004, 07:47 PM
 Just incredible!!

02 February 2004, 07:55 PM
OMG, this is frontpage stuff!!!

the detail is great, the composition reminds me a bit of Oddworld, maybe that's where this is inspired on?

The building however looks very original and the detail is incredible!!!

02 February 2004, 07:59 PM
saw this image on raph. nice work, very original stuff concept wise, and the lighting is awesome (not to mention the modelling)
the only critique I think I'd have to offer is that the character looks much less real than the rest of the scene, the other structures are so well defined and strong and he looks much more vague and almost comic-book-esque in structure. overall though, it's a beautiful image.

02 February 2004, 08:54 PM
Yeah Holy **** is the right word, really awesome!

02 February 2004, 10:05 PM
you've done a really good work:thumbsup:

02 February 2004, 10:53 PM
Very nice work! Can we have a hi-res one please? :)

02 February 2004, 11:30 PM
respect man, really awesome.

How long did it take to renderit, and make it?

02 February 2004, 12:31 AM
Insane amount of details, great mood, great camera angle, fantastic subject... You've done a really good job dude, congratulations.

[plugged on the front page]

02 February 2004, 12:45 AM
I'm not much of an environment guy but I just had to step in and complement the truly amazing work, that's without a doubt the best envionment I've seen posted here. Awesome atmosphere, really 'evocative'.

I can hardly imagine this not going into Exposé 2, but good luck anyway, it's a great piece :)

02 February 2004, 12:47 AM
incredibly. The doves just finish the picture, separate it from the crowd. Amazing amount of detail. Would love a larger render

02 February 2004, 12:52 AM
oh i lov it  WOW

02 February 2004, 12:53 AM
WALLPAPER! Dear god please! This is very great work. Im not sure about the bird man on the upper right, but theres probably some underlying theme i just dont get.

Good job.

02 February 2004, 12:53 AM
Really REALLY nice! It's nice to see a piece of work with a lot of atmosphere and colour!

02 February 2004, 12:54 AM
like the tallest tower
nice architecture whats the inspiration?

02 February 2004, 12:59 AM
Really great image! One question, are the buildings in the background watercolor?

02 February 2004, 01:03 AM
You will get the "3D Environment Master Award" at EXPOSE-2, if not then it will be an injustice.

02 February 2004, 01:13 AM
really cool work!!!!!!!!!! :bounce: I really like these white doves flying around this environment!!! very poetical picture!! good luck with your entry!!!

02 February 2004, 01:13 AM

02 February 2004, 01:15 AM
GEee....damn's amazing!!

That's a master material!!

02 February 2004, 01:15 AM
great - can you show more? what is 3d and what ps ...

02 February 2004, 01:19 AM
truely magnificent. I agree about the wires apearing a little thick and also I'm not the biggest fan of the character (personal prefrence) but the building are simply perfect. I'm very intrested in what is PS and what is Max. I would love a wire.

02 February 2004, 01:20 AM
This is a really beautiful work you have created (in a dirty kind of way:)). really nice job, the mood is awesome. Its very inspiriational, and I'm sure you have a excellent chance of being accepted into EXPOSE

02 February 2004, 01:27 AM

Loved it, really.

I would kill to see a render in higher resolution. 8x

02 February 2004, 01:35 AM
very awe inspiring. doesn't get much better than this.

02 February 2004, 01:59 AM
 thats it imgoing to suicide, amazing work...
please tell me tht youre alien or something , ordinary peoploe cant create such amazing artwork:thumbsup:

02 February 2004, 02:04 AM
i'll have to agree with SkullboX I'm not much of an environment guy either (not because i don't like them but because they are hard for me) but your work is really AMAZING! very imaginative and tons of details

Como le haces compa? ahi luego me das unas lecciones;) camara?

02 February 2004, 02:11 AM
that reminds me of a story from sandman. Not sure what it was exactly called, but it does remind me of a story from sandman

Had something like the raven was the princess herself, but just a younger version of her, and she ruled this kingdom was a mindjob.

I gotto looks awesome. Though the foot seems offplace where the ladder is.

02 February 2004, 02:28 AM
Very nice!

02 February 2004, 03:00 AM
Great Worl !!

I like the mood. The only thing that bother's me are the wires.
Otherwise PERFECT.

02 February 2004, 03:02 AM
This is amazing, every square inch of the picture is detailed, the lighting is very good. I'm looking forward to seeing this piece in Expose! Just to be constructive, I'm gonna point out two things: The city in the background (particularly to the right of the large building) seems to end off quite abruptly, as if there was a lake or ocean there, but we don't see any. Also I think maybe the sky would look better without the little smudge effects on the edge of the clouds.

One again, great work! I particularly love the tower at the back of the train-station-like building. It looks like a mix between 19th century and alien architecture ;)

02 February 2004, 06:11 AM
great work. would it be possible to see a wireframe by any chance?

02 February 2004, 07:31 AM
wow man thast absolutly amazing im a nuckle head character moeler and i don't ever have an intrest in modeling anything esle..wel maybe a car preety soon..but i think im going to start doign architectral models...ur structur is just awsome. what do u use as reffrences..

02 February 2004, 08:08 AM
realmente muy inspirado, me encanta el edificio y el ambiente, lo unico el cable que sale a la izquierda... no se sabe muy bien donde acaba... y parece disproporcionado.. pero nada grave ;)

Black Jesus
02 February 2004, 08:18 AM
awesome picture.

my only criticism would be the character. he looks like he is too big (compared to the ladder leading up to the top of the building he is on) and just sort of looks out of place to me.

i too would like to see a wire frame and maybe you could explain a little more how you did it?

02 February 2004, 08:44 AM
A good really nice work!!!

Increible,me has dejado sin palabras,te felicito.

02 February 2004, 09:00 AM

02 February 2004, 10:25 AM
hola!, er... i mean... hi!:

amazing... the doves add a nice touch to the composition... can you tell us about the meaning of the pic?

technical Questions:
past the cathedral the houses are a composite like the sky or ts all geometry?
how many different houses are there in the landscape?

Personally i would have liked a complexer sky maybe with some zeppelin like ships far on the background

P.D: me mola! postea un wallpaper 1280x1024 porfaplis!

02 February 2004, 11:12 AM
